Automatic Email Manager 9 works fine with modern authentification, you don't need to use this trick with App password.
I use Office 365 and my account uses dual authentication, how to use in Automatic Email Manager You need to connect to your Office365 account and define a specific 'App password' to use in Automatic Email Manager.
